The Kelly Kettle works in harsh weather conditions bringing water to boil within a matter of minutes using whatever solid fuel is naturally occurring in the area - sticks, grass, pine cones, bark etc. No need to carry fuel. It is made from stainless steel and is essentially a double-walled chimney with the water contained within the chimney's double wall.
Fill the kettle with water, start a very small fire in the base, set the kettle on the base and drop additional fuel (twigs, leaves, grass, etc.) down the chimney. The large internal chimney surface area heats the water very quickly. The Kelly Kettle boils approximately 6.75 cups of water at a time.
Adding the Pot-Support and Cook Set gives you the added versatility to cook small amounts of food (Noodles, Rice, Oatmeal, Re-hydrated food, Soup, etc.) over the Kelly Kettle while your water boils.
The fire base & drawstring carrying bag are included with each Kelly Kettle. The Kelly Kettle is great for camping, picnics, hunters, emergency preparedness kits, humanitarian aid stations or anyone in the great outdoors.
